2020 Bathroom Trends – looks to inspire you
Our bathrooms should be a place where we can relax and unwind at the end of a busy day as well as being functional. You don’t have to stay in a fancy hotel to be able to have luxury bathroom.
Dare to go black in your bathroom
Whether it be edgy and modern or traditional, black never goes out of fashion. With new manufacturing technologies more and more bathroom fixtures are now available in black, whether this be shower screens, taps and showers, or even ceramics. Not sure, then you could use black tiles and paints and mix with wood and brushed brass fittings.
Not quite ready for black then grey is still here to stay in 2020
Either use grey to create a soft look or mix with black accents to create a stronger bold look. Grey can also be mixed with navy blues and brushed brass, chrome or gold fixtures.
Bright and bold blue bathrooms
If you are more adventurous then bathrooms come in most colours these days and they can create a warm and cosy feel to your bathroom. Colour can be added by using bright or colourful tiles against plainer furniture.
Bringing Mother Nature inside
More and more people are using plants in their bathrooms to help create an oasis of calm whilst improving the air quality. Another option is to use botanical prints on your wallpaper to add a quirky detail to your bathroom.
Following the above trends more people are using green in their bathrooms
People are adding more and more colour to their bathrooms and moving away from the safe white ceramics and tiles.
Open Showers
Whether you are are looking for a wetroom or a walk-in shower, these options give you a clean modern look. Not everyone has the room to be able to have a large shower with glass doors, you can achieve the same elegant modern look in smaller bathrooms with a wetroom.
Tile trends 2020
Whether you want to make a statement in your shower or behind your basin, bold colours are becoming increasingly more popular, especially with the “improve don’t move” homeowners.
Along with bold colours people are experimenting with shapes and sizes, using hexagons and “fish scale” tiles, along with changing up the metro tile by using a vertical pattern instead of the usual subway or herringbone pattern.
Also we are finding that people are moving away from fully tiling areas with the shaped tiles and creating further shapes and elements to their bathrooms. Similarly mixing and matching tiles are becoming more popular with people becoming braver in experimenting.
Wood effect tiles are still popular and will continue through 2020.
