Traditional Bathroom in Cambridge
The team loved carrying out this traditional bathroom in Cambridge, the brief from the customer was to bring the wetroom into the bathroom and to keep the original bath. As for style they wanted a traditional bathroom in keeping with the period of the property.
Here are some before, during and after photos of the work carried out.
The bath was moved from its original position into the alcove where the basin was originally situated. A beautiful Burlington mixer tap was installed to complete the traditional look and the bath was re-enamelled back to its former glory.
The original wetroom was in a separate room, we removed the wall between the bathroom and wetroom and blocked up the wetroom door. To complete the traditional bathroom look we used Metro tiles and the classic black and white chequer board pattern on the floor.
The basin was moved out from it’s original alcove to take pride of place in the centre of the wall. The customer originally selected the Olive colour from Burlington but, eventually decided upon the new Grey colour which looks gorgeous in real life.
We spent time with customer understanding their requirements and working with them to create their ideal bathroom, we carry out a free measure and design service which includes 3D renders and virtual walk around.
During the installation process we under covered a beautiful stain glass window that had been partially covered up by the previous wetroom installation which we decided to keep uncovered.
